Common questions:

How long are classes? Most child swim classes are 35 to 40 minutes.

How many children are in a class? Most child classes have 4 to 6 students.

What class does my child need?  This page will guide you to the right class.  In addition, each class has a description of prerequisites and exit goals.

Will my child automatically advance to the next level? No, you must enroll for each class each session.  All classes are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

Will I get a email when I register? Yes, you automatically get a confirmation email when you register.

How can I check to see if I am registered? You may uses the Log In tab to see all the classes you are registered for or to find new classes.

What is Waitlist?  If the class you want has an enroll link, there are spaces in the class.  If the class you want has a Waitlist link, it means the class is full.  If you sign up for this class, we will notify you if a spot becomes available. You will not be charged for signing up on a waitlist unless you get into the class.

Why hasn't my credit card been charged? We do not usually charge your credit card when you register.  We will charge your credit card before class starts. If you received the confirmation email, you are registered.

Can you accommodate me if the class if full?  No, we cap our classes for safety and to ensure time for each child to work with the instructor.

What is your makeup policy?  No make up sessions are included in your tuition. We strive to keep our tuition as low as possible. To do this we do not schedule extra staff to be available for extra students for make up classes. We want your child’s learning experience to be as productive and safe as possible which means we make every effort to ensure strict teacher student to teacher ratios for both safety and for learning. Much like an academic class, we provide teachers on scheduled class sessions and encourage you to attend each lesson in your session. If you want to get extra instruction outside your scheduled class times, we can work with you to schedule private lessons offered at an additional fee.  We appreciate your understanding.

How do I schedule a private lesson or custom class? It's easy, simply fill out a request using the form on this page.

Is there a registration fee?  No.

How do I cancel my registration or change my class time?  Use this form.  If you enrolled in the wrong class, simply let us know within 24 hours of registration to drop the class at no charge.  After 24 hours, there is a $19 fee to drop or transfer classes.  Tuition is non-refundable 7 days prior to class start date.

What do I need for class? The city of Irving requires all students to wear a swim suit made for swimming which you can get at Walmart, Target, Dicks, or other stores.  Here are pictures of approved swimwear.  Cutoff shorts, gym shorts, and leotards are not permitted. You may wear a synthetic shirt (not cotton) over your suit if desired. We recommend googles and a towel. Long hair should be pulled back or contained with a swim cap. Children should not eat 45 minutes before class.

Do parents get in the water for Mom & Tot classes? Yes. In this class parents lead their child through lessons under the instruction of the teacher.
